Hope For The New Year

As a New Year approaches

One thought comes to mind.

I hope that this New Year

Is a little more kind.

Illnesses came often

But, serious ones were few.

Had lots of coughs and sneezes

Which we all must muddle through.

Hopefully this New Year

Won't bring surprises that are bad.

Such as tree limbs falling on our cars

Which made us really sad.

No matter what this New Year holds,

God loves us, this we know.

We'll trust in Him for guidance

For from Him all blessings flow.
