A True Friend

If a problem arises
Do your friends disappear?
Do they fail to stand by you,
A fact they've made clear?

A true friend stands by you,
They will always be there.
They won't walk out and leave you,
They will stay cause they care.

Jesus is a true friend.
No greater love could be.
He proved how much He loved us
When He died on Calvary.

He will comfort us in sorrow,
Pick us up if we should fall.
He will be there when we need Him
If on Jesus' name we call.
