Another Year of Wondering

Another year has ended

since our Cathy passed away.

I know Jesus came to meet her

as angels led the way.

Though our grief has eased a little

and time has dried our tears,

we still miss the precious daughter

we had almost fourteen years.

We cannot help but wonder

how her life would be.

We wonder, would her plans come true

and an Air Force career she'd see?

We wonder what she'd look like now.

Would her "giggle" be the same?

Would she marry and have children?

Would she give a child her name?

We cannot help but wonder

why we had to say goodbye.

But, we know one day we'll meet again

in God's mansion in the sky.
