I Relived

Tonight I relived years gone by

When my grandchildren visited me.

Laughter rang throughout my home

Just as it used to be.

We said ABC's, told stories and sang,

Then had pizza for a snack.

As we talked and played together,

Sweet memories came lovingly back.

To all who are raising families now,

One thing I say to you.

Enjoy these happy days, my friends,

For all too soon they're through.

God blessed you with your family.

Enjoy them while you may.

For all too soon, they quickly grow

And move down their own pathway.

Then you'll wait and watch for their return,

Their visits you would love.

And, when they come, your house will be,

Once again filled with family love.
